Kamal Hassan falls in love with his neighbor Rati Agnihotri. In spite of not being able to coverse with each other for she does not know his language and he does not understand what she says, their love blooms and grows. Hassan then learns to speak Hindi from Madhavi, but she falls in love with him. When he goes to meet Rati afterwards, Madhavi’s brother tries to stop him. Do the lovers meet?
